Once again, I am attending Comiket and taking orders from everyone!
Though this year is going to be handled a bit more professionally through my new commercial site, furude.com or in person over Skype at account furude.com
I will be covering my stay in Japan with daily updates on this site so stay tuned.
The second chapter is now complete and can be downloaded here.
As Furude has resumed translation, expect chapter 3 soon.
I would like to thank everyone who attended my panels and visited the Furude vendor booth at Otakuthon 2012 in Montreal. My preparations for starting a proxy service for otaku goods are progressing nicely and I will get back to your messages soon regarding order requests last week.
In less than six months from now I intend on studying in Japan where I will be able to get things much easier and cheaper as I will not have time constraints. I will probably allocate this project to furude.com at that time but for now I will use this blog.
And as I will also have a lot more free time…
I would also like to announce that the Isuka translation project will now resume as I have also found a translation checker. All the image editing is done so expect a full release of the first volume soon. If all goes well we will of course move on to other projects.
As always, day 3 is hell but more than worth it at the same time.
I returned to my hotel to drop off my orders and stuff before attending another meet up that I organized on /jp/. The only one that showed up was the Australian guy to the left of me in the previous blog entry since 4chan was fucking up right after I posted the meet up details. He was pretty fun to talk to so I’m not complaining.
We went to this shrine near Akihabara after some shopping. I have over a hundred pictures since I have a huge miko fetish so I’ll sort through them when I get home… Until then, this article should have you covered regarding miko!
After taking pictures of the awesome cosplay, I went to the ‘Big Red Saw’ to see who actually showed up. There were actually 10 of us in total which was more than last year. After chatting for a while we set off for Akihabara to find a place to drink. I could probably write a book on all the stuff we talked about so I’ll just cut it short by saying it was awesome.
Here we are after surviving Comiket 81 and making our way to a maid cafe with a ‘little sister’ theme! Some Japanese passerby offered to take the picture but I hope we didn’t scare him off when we pulled out those doujinshi. Not sure why I’m holding mine sideways, though…
Sorry if I don’t reply to any e-mails, I’ll start doing so in a few days.
If you ordered something sold at: Toranoana, K-Books, Trader, Mandrake, Sofmap, GAMERS, Animate or Melon Books then I already have it for sure.
The more obscure items are often found in smaller shops in the alleyways that only accept cash (not because they are shady; Japan is just a cash-based society.) My only source of cash has been cut off for a few days since the only ATMs that accept foreign cards are closed for new years…
How do machines celebrate new years exactly?
Anyway I’m still here for a week or so before I go home and ship everything so there shouldn’t be any problems.
For reference, my ‘tripcode’ that I use on 4chan is: ” VXm1qKQDCo “
I just started using it now as I realized the potential for identity theft and shit posts.
Posts that don’t have that code from 2012 onwards are possibly fake!
